Modern Sterling Silver vermeil gold, carved emerald and polki diamond halo ring

Description : Emerald is a form of beryl that is green. Because it is 5.5-6 hardness on the Mohs scale it is ideal for carving. This is a natural large 20mm long x 15mm wide rectangular cut bluish-green emerald. It is carved with a botanical plant form on its surface. Surrounding the center stone are 23 natural white polki style diamonds totaling 1 carat in weight. Polki diamonds are uncut rough slices of diamond that retain their natural shape. The shank is an intricately open pattern made in sterling silver and coated in gold vermeil, which shows some wear consistent with age. This ring was made in India in a traditional manner and style. The carving and gemstone are in excellent condition. This ring is definitely a statement piece and generously sized at 8.75.
