Art Deco platinum and diamond handmade ring

Description : The European cut diamond has a high crown, a small table and a dramatically deep pavilion. These hand cut diamonds have 58 facets but were cut to glow rather than sparkle. You can always tell a European cut because you can see the smallest 'hole' straight through the table which is a signature of this cut. Platinum was fabricated into jewelry during the Art Deco period, and was used extensively until the war when it became illegal. This large domed ring is hand fabricated which is a master's craft. The miligrain is hand done with a tiny tool, and to create a large, evenly domed shape is a feat of wonder by hand at the bench. Size 5.5
