Description : Rutile quartz is prized for its acicular inclusions. Needle-like shards of titanium oxide, or other inclusions are accepted as a part of the gem's internal structure. In this case the inclusions are shiny metallic gold points that ray in every direction inside a 33mm long x 25mm wide quartz cabochon. Set in solid 18KY gold, the ring's prongs are also adorned with round black faceted diamonds as sparkling accents. An elegantly styled split shank helps to keep the center gemstone weighted to the front. An open back setting allows the light to dramatically show through the centerpiece.
