Modern 18K white gold diamond and sapphire ring

Description : The Jabel jewelry company was founded in Newark, New Jersey by JJ Abelson in 1916. His daughter June worked with him and was an avid supporter of women in the jewelry industry and one of the first members of the Women's Jewelry Association. After her passing, a couple, David Connolly and his wife Nora took over the company, which is still in business today. This ring would have been made before 2007. A 1.5 carat oval blue sapphire is prong set in an 18K white gold radiant design that is accented by .55 carat weight of round natural white diamonds. The top design is what is traditionally known as a ballerina setting. You can see the shape of the tutu when looked at from the back. This ring has a lovely provenance, and a rich history of supporting women in the jewelry industry. Size 6.5
