Victorian 18KY gold, platinum and zircon ring

Description : Zircon is a natural gemstone, and not to be confused with zirconia which is manmade. Zircon is derived from the Persian word, 'zargun' which means gold-hued. This gemstone is generally found in sedimentary rocks, like sandstone. It is prized for its high specific gravity and what is called an adamantine luster, as well a high refractive index which makes zircon very sparkly. This 4.7 carat round is nicely cut, and set in a platinum double claw 6 prong setting in a crown style head. The platinum enhances the white color of the stone. The band setting is delicate, but sturdy and is made in 18KY gold. Size 7'75
