Description : The Georgian period spanned British history from 1714 to 1837. It encompasses the reign of 4 Kings, George I, II, III and IV. This mourning ring is over 200 years old, and is an Asian inspired scene made of snippets of human hair on possibly a mother of pearl background. Seed pearls were often used to represent the tears for the beloved one who has passed. Hallmarked 15KY gold, is a signature of this era in jewelry making. This ring is a very unusual piece, and is a mysterious scene depicting pine trees and some type of building structure. Tiny golden accents glitter within the intimate scene inside, and a very sentimental piece that was made for someone very specific.
