Modern 14KY gold and sapphire cigar band ring

Description : The primary description of a 'cigar band' style ring is that it is generally wider on top, and thinner on the shank in the back. An 8mmx6.75mm oval sapphire cabochon is cleverly set between the two rails on this size 7.75 ring. What is unique about the design is the hand applied texture surrounding the band. The sapphire is a bright, translucent cornflower blue, with some readily seen inclusions. The open back behind the stone gives this sapphire a nice amount of bright light, which shows off the slightly purplish blue color.
