Description : The Brutalist movement was a trend in the late 1950's to the early 1970's. It was inspired by a response to the concept of 'fine' jewelry and what that actually meant. The purpose of challenging this style was to create pieces made of extremely fine materials, but in a more organic manner. This 14KY gold ring certainly does that. The centerpiece is an oval natural fiery opal with play of color in the cabochon set with wild leaves as prongs, and in an natural pattern. Surrounding the center stone are approximately 25, 2mm round natural white prong set diamonds. The feeling this ring gives is that the stone is found lying in an overgrown garden, with sparkling drops of water all around. It is certainly a conversation piece Size 5
