Native American Sterling silver and turquoise butterfly pin
Native American Sterling silver and turquoise butterfly pin
Description : Each Native American tribe has a special connection to the symbol of the butterfly. In the typical Blackfoot tradition, the butterfly was embroidered on a small piece of buckskin, and attached to a baby's hair to help them sleep. In other tribes, the butterfly was a sign of change, metamorphosis and the regeneration of life. Turquoise cabochons dot each wing of this sterling silver handmade pin, and there are black striped details on the body. Measuring approximately 40mm across, this pin is a beautiful example of Native American tradition and a great gift for someone born in December, as turquoise is the birthstone for that month.
