Mid-Century Modern 14KY gold Mauboussin brooch

Description : In 1876, George Mauboussin joined his uncle's jewelry production studio in Paris. He bought the company in 1898. Originally in the Place Vendome and moving in 1923, this expansion allowed him to become one of the the finest jewelers in known in Paris. This double pin, trombone clasped brooch is a signed Mauboussin, and legendary in its provenance. The 14KY gold is cast in a wild assortment of textured, dynamic botanical styled forms, and appears to be moving. A testament to the fine quality and inherent intention in a very fine piece of jewelry, this would look great on your lapel.
