Victorian 10KY gold moonstone and pink sapphire brooch

Description : Feminine wisdom is associated with the moon, and moonstones represent the cyclical nature of life. The moon regulates the tides on the earth, and traditionally is known to govern the emotions. British made, the moonstones in this pin are in beautiful shape for being over 100 years old. The oval cabochons are aligned in a graduated form and accented with 2, 3mm round pink faceted sapphires. Tested at 10KY gold, the original safety chain and pin is still attached. Measuring approximately 40mm across, the moonstones are significant in size. June's birthstone is moonstone, and pink sapphire belongs to September.
