Description : La Triomphe was a line of jewelry formed within the company Astoria Manufacturing in Long Island NYC in approximately 1965. This line of jewelry featuring a modern style was clean, bold and used striking forms and shapes as graphic elements in the designs. Stamped with the L'arc du Triomphe, this 14KY gold brooch embodies all the details this jewelry line was known for. An organic floral form, has pristine black enamel on the petals, and 3mm x 5mm prong set pear shaped opals form a halo around a prong set diamond centerpiece, with organic texture. Opal is the birthstone for October, and diamond is for April. A nice crisp piece to go on a cashmere black lapel is perfect for a suit or dress coat.
