Native American Sterling Silver and Turquoise Kachina Mask Pendant

Description : The Kachina Mask was used in the Hopi tribe's seasonal ceremonies and when worn bring the spirit into the community. Hand fabricated from sterling silver, the bright blue turquoise is also hand cut to create a symbolic crown over the mask. Measuring 50mm across, the 18 inch, sterling silver box link chain is conveniently included. The Hopi Tribe was primarily established around the Black Mesa in Arizona. The dances took place every weekend, and were called the Night Dances until the middle of April. Turquoise is the birthstone for December, and this pendant has a pair of earrings that accompany it, Item # 10220-15
