Native American Sterling silver, onyx, mother of pearl, turquoise and coral cross pendant

Description : Inlay is an incredibly difficult and time consuming process. First, an outline is created in sterling silver, the shape of a Zuni, inlay cross with a Sun Face center. The stones, in this case onyx, mother of pearl, turquoise and coral, are precision cut to fit each of the areas outlined in silver. The fine craftsmanship in this pendant is astounding. Every piece of gemstone inlay is perfectly aligned with the edges of each silver teardrop shape. This Christian style cross is signed 'ZME and most likely created by a Zuni husband and wife team with the same makers mark as named Zeno and Maryann Edaacki. They began their jewelry business in the 1960's, and their son has continued the tradition of their traditional Zuni inlay style today. The sterling silver pristine pendant is a nice size at 45mm long, and the bail will accommodate a standard 1.5mm link chain. A labor of love, created by a husband and wife artistic team.
