Victorian Sterling Silver Essex dog and horse charms

Description : The detail in the underpainting of both the horse and the dog, are extraordinarily detailed. Set in sterling silver bezels, these 12mm Essex quartz crystal charm pendants were most likely portraits of the owners pets. 'Essex' jewelry indicates a process, where the back of a clear piece of quartz is etched and then hand painted. The pieces are assembled, and must be protected from moisture. These sterling silver simple, elegant charms are fine examples, and are in very good condition. Silver chain not included.
