This pendant by Watson Honanie, who was a member of the Bear Clan, shows the gold overlay onto sterling silver which was a process he developed that became his signature. The corn maiden promises that every seed holds a sacred power, and brings the gift of life to the tribe. This pendant depicts a corn maiden, whose hair is styled as an unmarried woman. She emerges from a sheath of corn, carrying with her the continuation of Native American generational tradition. 40mm long.
