Victorian Sterling Silver, Yellow gold, rose cut diamonds, sapphires and amethyst cameo pendant

Description : A cameo is a hand carved gemstone. Generally we see portraits of people, however this is a carved bird on a branch in natural oval amethyst. Six natural white rose cut diamonds are positioned around the centerpiece, as are bluish green oval sapphires bezel set on the openwork frame of the pendant. The construction is in primarily silver with yellow gold accents. The bail is a highly detailed botanical form, which is a signature of the Victorian era, and also has yellow gold accents. The carving is like a shadow from the front, but when backlit you can see the bird. Chain is not included.
