Description : Anselm Wallace collaborated with his wife Rosita. They made jewelry together for nearly 40 years. Both of them have passed, but their work lives on. This necklace style is called 'Desert Rose'. There are two forms of desert rose, one is a flowering succulent plant that can survive extreme environments, and the other is a crystal formation of gypsum or baryte that forms in rose-like clusters and is unique to the desert. Anselm and Rosita are Zuni artists known for their masterful inlay. The flower is a sterling silver outline, with mother of pearl petals and a turquoise centerpiece. This design is as fresh and bright as the day it was made, and symbolizes the ability to withstand harsh elements and still thrive in beauty. The handmade chain is adjustable so this necklace can be worn in several lengths. Signed by Anselm and stamped sterling silver.
