Modern sterling silver David Anderson Necklace and Pendant

Description : The David Anderson's (1843-1901) jewelry studio opened in Norway in 1876, and is still in production today. Over the years, he had many jewelry designers work in his studio. In 1932, his son Ivar David Anderson took over the company. Some of the silversmiths studied with Georg Jensen in NYC, including the great great grandaughter of David Anderson named Uni David Anderson who opened her own shop in 1959 and did production for the original studio. She is 94 years old today. Her studio closed in 2001. This pendant is an example of the castings the David Anderson studio started to make in Uni's shop. The Troll series, is one of her signature designs based on a grid-like design both done in sterling silver, and in specifically cut gems. The chain on this necklace is also such a nice touch that appears to be hand forged and assembled. Signed by her studio. What an incredibly rare treasure.
