Native American Sterling silver and turquoise 'squash blossom' necklace

Description : Every piece of this traditional style squash blossom necklace has been hand fabricated. Each piece of turquoise is mined, cut, and bezel set into a box shape construction. The beads are fabricated by forming each half and then sanded and soldered together. This piece was most likely made for a Chief, as this necklace is particularly large in scale and length. This piece is a monumental example of the quality of craftsmanship and Native American Dine/Navajo design. The squash blossom is inspired by the successful harvesting of life giving crops, and ceremonial pride.
