Art Noveau Sterling Silver Napkin Ring
Art Noveau Sterling Silver Napkin Ring
Description : Art Noveau was a style that occurred during the Belle Epoque from 1890-1910. It was a response to the rules of art by the academicians and scholars of the time, and was inspired by the sinewy curves of flowers and plants. The dynamic lines of the design show movement, growth and a wild, organic open, woven style. This napkin ring measures 45mm wide and 50mm in diameter. A single napkin ring could hold scarves, or decorate your vanity. This is an exquisite example of both the style of Art Noveau and a functional object. Sunflowers droop all around the drape of the vine, and the hallmark is clearly Webster and Co. which was a division of Reed and Barton from Attleboro MA. A very special piece made with the utmost quality.
