Description : Watson Honanie is a Native American jewelry designer who learned the trade from his uncles. He passed away in November of 2023. He was born 10th of 11 children to his mother, who was a member of the Hopi Bear Clan. His unusual work was catalogued in a curated exhibition in the Heard Museum. Watson was the innovator of creating a gold overlay wash over sterling silver, which became his signature. These handmade post earrings are called 'Man in the Maze' or the 'Hopi Tohono O'odham' symbol. This depicts what it is for a human to go through the twists and turns of this life.
