Modern 18KY and white gold and diamond Yves Kamioner 'donut style' omega back earrings

Description : Yves Kamioner is an artist currently working in the jewelry industry today. Growing up in Brussels, he watched his father and his grandfather make jewelry at the bench, and decided he wanted to become the third generation of designers in his family. Yves takes inspiration from organic details from nails in wood, cracks in stucco, and the natural order of chaos in world. He eventually moved to New York and worked for Tiffany's after receiving the DeBeers Diamond Award, and then landed in Southern California. These earrings are a clear example of his work. Two round solid doughnuts of 18KY gold, refined in his studio from 24KY gold and fine silver, are held in place on the ear with a post and secured with a hinged omega style clip. There is an organically shaped area of the surface, paved with diamonds set in 18K white gold. One of his signatures is the cracks found in his work, citing a Leonard Cohen lyric from his song 'Anthem' describing poetically that where there is a crack that is where the light comes in.
