Description : The name Diné means to 'interact with settlers', which is what the Navajo originally called themselves. The term is in their own language. The word Navajo is derived from the Tewa-puebloan and means 'place of large planted fields'. D. Skeets is a Navajo, or Diné artist that is currently living and working today as a jeweler and metalsmith. Noted for using 14KY gold overlay, the mixed metals and oxidation process highlight the symbolic designs represented in his work. This 10mm wide cuff is a smaller sized bracelet, to fit a more petite wrist. The gold waves represent the water flowing across the plains. Signed by the artist.
