Description : Handmade and hand-stamped Fred Harvey Era black dendritic agate and sterling silver cuff ca. 1930. In this period, restaurants and gift shops were a required stop on your journey west when you traveled via railroad. Bracelets in this style were created by the Indigenous Peoples of the area specifically to sell to the tourists who passed through and wanted something they thought was distinctively Southwestern. Often the stampings and symbols on these pieces had no real significance to the artisans who made them as they were meant to appeal to the passing tourist. This circa 1930 bracelet will easily accommodate a larger wrist, 7 inches or larger. The pear shaped dendritic agate has shades of gray and black to match every outfit. These bracelets are usually set with turquoise making this a more unusual find. Measured at 13 - 40 mm wide. Condition is very good vintage, could use some light polishing with a silver polishing cloth at your discretion.
