Victorian 14K rose gold, rose cut diamond and emerald Hand and Parasol brooch

Description : Dancing diamond drops fall from an umbrella that protects a flowering plant. Rose cut diamonds are faceted on the top with a flat back. They produce a beautiful glitter, and can be bezel set very low to the piece of jewelry. The emeralds in this pin are approximately 2mm in diameter and prong set. The movement of the diamonds as water droplets is a lovely detail. Fabricated in Syria in the late 1800's, this brooch is a fine example of historic culture. The metalsmiths of Damascus were world renowned. Measuring 110mm long and 50 mm in width, this is a bold big piece of 14KY gold. Diamond is the birthstone for April, and May is emerald.
