Modern 14KY gold, sapphire and pearl Krementz horseshoe pin

Description : George Krementz founded his jewelry company in Newark NJ with his brother, over 150 years ago. Krementz jewelry has been a staple in the industry since that time but now is focused on the business of gemstones. Krementz was known for its gold overlay pieces, however in the early 1980's began to manufacture karat gold and fine gemstone jewelry as well as their moderately priced lines. This horseshoe or 'broken oval' brooch is lined with bright blue faceted prong set natural sapphires and approximately 2mm cultured white pearls. The horseshoe often meant good luck and protection, but also symbolised the moon, resilience and good fortune. 2026 is the Year of the Fire Horse. Sapphires are the birthstone for Septemeber, and pearl is for June.
