Early Victorian 14K rose gold, sterling silver, jadeite, cultured pearl and natural seed pearl pendant necklace

Description : Originally this necklace was strung on human hair. The consensus was that it needed an upgrade, and so we chose natural creamy graduated seed pearls to highlight this magnificent jadeite pendant. Jade has two forms, Jadeite and Nephrite. Jadeite is the most prized form of jade and most often was sourced from Myanmar or China and is a much brighter green color. Nephrite jade is darker, and found in many more locations around the world. The 6mm round half drilled cultured pearl is in the center of the jade donut, and the pendant is secured in a bezel style 14K rose gold setting with a scalloped open perimeter. Surrounding the center pearl is strung seed pearls, and this necklace has an oxidized sterling silver chain and clasp to make it a perfect length for a medium size neck at 16" long
