Victorian 14KY gold, pearl and garnet lavaliere

Description : A 'Lavaliere' is sometimes called a 'Y' necklace as it forms the Y at the base of the chain with the pendant. Named for Duchess Louise de La Vallière, the mistress of French King Louis XIV in the mid 17th Century, This feminine, garnet and pearl construction is integrated into a lovely 14KY gold open link chain. Kite and round shaped cabochon natural purplish red garnets are bezel set as part of the connectors and drop from elegant shaped strands from the scroll work. A single natural pearl sits as a structural connector in the center of this pendant. Garnet is the birthstone for January and Pearl is for June.
