Description : An oval faceted garnet sits at the center of this design. It is aligned North/South, the longest axis is top to bottom. Garnets were very popular during the British Victorian era. This was a time when jewelry spoke of an emotional language where every detail meant something special. The garnet was a symbol of passion and love, but also was abundant from the mines in Bohemia. Seed pearls were tiny treasures traveling from India and the Middle East and often represented tears. Some of these have been replaced. The diamond shaped top looks like a shield, and the quality of this ring has endured for over 100 years. Size 9.5
