Edwardian 18KY gold, platinum, diamond and moonstone ring
Edwardian 18KY gold, platinum, diamond and moonstone ring
Description : The Edwardian era was the last era to be named for a monarchy. The Edwardian style in jewelry was more elegant than the characteristics of the Arts and Crafts movement, and founded in 17th and 18th century architecture. This moonstone ring is a classic example of fine jewelry making with elegant and simplified linear qualites, typically indicative of the Edwardian era. Made in circa 1900, the top of this ring with the diamonds and moonstone is constructed in platinum, and set upon an 18KY gold, split shank diamond ring setting. The 3mm round, old mine cut diamonds brilliantly sparkle. The centerpiece is a 6mm round moonstone cabochon with definitive blue tones. Moonstones represent the lunar cycles, feminine wisdom, and emotion. Diamond represents strength, longevity, and durablity. Size 4.75
