Modern 18KY gold and diamond Carrera y Carerra ring

Description : Carrera y Carrera was formed in 1835 in Madrid, Spain by Saturio Carrera. His son, Jose learned the jewelry trade in Paris, and continued to develop the brand of the company. Every piece is made by hand. In 1965 Manual Carrera, the great great grandson to Saturio, opened up his own shop in the heart of old town Madrid, and in 1979 the brand was brought to the Waldorf-Astoria in NYC. 'Breathe' is the title of this ring. An 8mm wide 18KY gold band shows the woman, Aura from Botticelli's painting, 'The Birth of Venus' She and Zephyrus are depicted creating the wind that brings Venus to shore. Diamonds are paved in a cloud of gold, which represents the breath of air that moves Venus's shell over water.
