Mid Century 18 Karat and 10 Karat Yellow Gold Aphrodite Intaglio Ring

Description : Aphrodite was the goddess of love and sensuality. Her name means 'risen from the sea foam' and she was one of the original 12 Olympians, and the daughter of Zeus and Dione. She was married to Hephaestus, who was the god of blacksmithing and metalsmithing. She is carved into the top of the 30mm long Signet style ring as an Intaglio, which was a seal that could be pressed into wax. The heavy 18 Karat gold oval top is seamlessly attached to a 10 karat gold split shank, which helps the ring to stay centered on the hand. She fits a size 7 finger, and is a very sturdy construction. She truly is a 'Mighty Aphrodite'. Up-cycled from a pair of stunning cufflinks.
