Victorian Birmingham 18KY gold and diamond snake ring

Description : Each of these snake heads hold a European cut diamond that is approximately .25 carats each, and the eyes are 1.5mm round diamonds that are flush set. Inside the shank is fully hallmarkedwith 18K, British, Birmingham, England. In 1790 there were only 28 workshops in the city of Birmingham, but it grew so significantly it was titled the 'workshop of the world'. This ring was created in 1886. The design movement of the snake and the placement of its eyes makes this ring look very lively today.
