Victorian 14Ky gold, amethyst and seed pearl ring

Description : A large, ornately carved, 14K yellow gold hand engraved oval is adorned with grapevines surrounding a 15mmx18mm, faceted bezel set amethyst. Embedded in the leaves representing the grapes, are tiny seed pearls, which were often used in the making of mourning jewelry, as they represented solidified tears. The grapes could mean the victory over death, and the final joys of heaven. This was a pin that was converted into a ring, and is a very nice proportion on the hand. Size 4
