Modern 18KY gold, citrine, iolite, and ammolite pendant with chain

Description : This is a classic, one of a kind, handmade piece of jewelry. A trillion shaped faceted cut, orangeish gold citrine is bezel set at the top functioning as the bail for the chain. Hanging from 2 prongs is a half round, custom cut thin slice of ammolite. Ammolite is formed by the fossilized shells of ammonites, which are marine creatures from the late Cretaceous period. It is often found in Alberta, Canada and is known for its stunning iridescence and rainbow colors. A single post hangs from the center of the arc at the bottom of the ammolite, and holds a faceted pear shaped iolite, which is a pleochroic gemstone that presents itself to be bluish purple. Unique and masterfully crafted, this pendant hangs perfectly balanced on the neck, and is a legend of gemological history. The chain and an appraisal is included.
