Modern 18KY gold and diamond Brutalist articulated fish pendant

Description : Snyder's Jewelers has served the Boulder County community since 1948. This pendant was made by John Snyder sometime in the 1970's. The fish symbol is traditionally a religious icon for the Christian community. The word 'Icthys' means fish and was a reference to Jesus Christ. In other religious cultures the fish means humble living, fertility and good fortune. This is an articulated cast, 'Brutalist' 18KY gold pendant that is 130mm long. A single .48 carat weight round brilliant cut faceted natural white diamond is prong set for the eye. The articulated links gives this fish a kinetic style, so that it moves very gracefully when worn. Locally made, spiritually inspired and beautifully crafted, this pendant is a local treasure.
