Victorian 18KY gold and emerald locket pendant

Description : In what appears to be a memento of a father and daughter, the images placed lovingly in this locket are strikingly clear and beautiful portraits. The little girl has a necklace on, and she has a wizened look in her eye. Portraits of children were rarely found this clear, as sometime portrait sessions could take as long as 30 minutes. This is a piece of jewelry that truly tells a story. The star set emerald is flush set into the cover, and is very clear and bright bluish green, fashioned into an emerald cut. The overall diameter is approximately 45mm. The chain is not included. A thoughtful gift for a person born in May.
