Native American Sterling Silver and Lone Mountain turquoise belt buckle by Harlan and Monica Coomsis
Native American Sterling Silver and Lone Mountain turquoise belt buckle by Harlan and Monica Coomsis
Description : Created circa 1980, this Knife Wing sterling silver belt buckle is a spectacular representation of the finest Native American craftsmanship. A 'Knife Wing' is a fighter destined to protect nature and the earth. Wearing this symbol is a sign of strength, courage and honor. It is worn in battle as a protector spirit. Lone Mountain Turquoise (or also known as the Blue Jay), is a single mine in Nevada that produces some of the clearest blue, and highly prized turquoise in the southwest. The inlay on this buckle is pristine, and done by a master. Signed by HM Coomsis, Harlan and Monica Coonsis, who are prize winning Native American jewelry makers currently working in the market today. They are known for their stunning craftsmanship. They often depict Knife Wings in their work, and every piece is an historic and future heirloom treasure. Note the slight variations of blue to indicate the boots from the legs of this fierce warrior of our planet. Crisp and clear, the blue turquoise inlay image is a brilliant depiction of a warrior.
