Native American Sterling Silver Turquoise shadow box cuff bracelet

Description : What is nice about a shadow box is the gemstone, in this case turquoise, is well tucked below the surface of the top for protection. Turquoise is a soft stone and this is a perfect solution. The shadow box construction was a signature of the Navaho (as he spelled it) artist, Aaron Chischiligi. (1923-2001) The turquoise he used was often from the original Sleeping Beauty Mine. This is a hand fabricated, hand signed bracelet measuring 60mm from top to bottoms and tapering down to the bracelet cuff in the back to 8mm wide. This bracelet was fabricated sometime around the 1960's and would fit a larger wrist.
