Victorian Sterling silver gilt, coral and enamel link bracelet

Description : What a joy this bracelet is. Hand fabricated, gold gilt filigree links are enameled with brilliant colors that are as bright today as when this bracelet was made over 100 years ago. It has the look of being in a flower garden at peak bloom. In remarkably good condition, the clasp is secure, with a chain added for safety. Gilt was the process of washing the sterling silver in a gold plating, which is very thin, You can see that much of it has worn off over the years which is consistant with the age and wear. Coral teardrops are bezel set in sterling silver with twisted wire accents surrounding each stone. Vibrant in the colors periwinkle blue, soft mauve, kelly green and the fresh reddish orange of coral, this articulated, chain link bracelet is bold in scale, and beautifully crafted. Fits a medium wrist. Coral is the alternative birthstone for April.
