Mid-Century Modern 18KY gold and ruby Kudu brooch

Description : The Kudu antelope is from the African continent and has a coiled horn specific to the male adult of the species. There is a 'lesser', and a 'greater' distinction of the species. The lesser kudu species has stripes which are depicted here. They are generally a peaceful herbivore that grazes on the great plains grasslands found in Africa. This 18KY solid gold male Kudu has brilliant red faceted prong set ruby eyes, and an articulated head, that swivels at the neck. This graceful creature is accurately represented in a solid gold brooch.
