Cherry Emerson has been trading Native American jewelry through her eBay store for over 29 years. She purchased her first Native American piece of jewelry in New Mexico, a ring, when she was only 8 years old. Since that first purchase, Cherry went on to earn a PhD in Anthropology from CU Boulder, and is acknowledged in Bille Hougart’s ‘Native American Silver Hallmarks’.
Her connection with Classic Facets as a customer and current consignor dates back to 1985. We are proud to announce that Cherry will be making a presentation at Classic Facets, on September 18th, 2025, at 5:00 pm.
She will welcome questions after her talk, but cautions that sometimes the best answer is “I haven’t got a clue” when it comes to identifying hallmarks. Cherry believes each piece of jewelry stores the memories of its past owners and makers, and ultimately finds its home with the person to whom it was destined. We hope you will find a special piece that speaks directly to your heart!
