Native American Sterling silver keshi pearl butterfly brooch
Native American Sterling silver keshi pearl butterfly brooch
Description : A tiny owl head is the maker's stamp on this lovely Native butterfly brooch. Hand fabricated in sterling silver, the details are stamped, and a rare 25mm long by 10mm wide keshi style pearl is bezel set as the body. In Native American symbolism the butterfly represents the spirit world between the physical and the spiritual realm. It is traditionally the icon for metamorphosis, and hope. The term keshi in Japanese means 'poppy' as this type of pearl is non-nucleated, and the product of organic development within the mollusk. A powerful symbol of regeneration and change, the pearl is the birthstone for June.
